Assessing the work to be done , there is rot in the timber frame in a number of places, mainly where water has penetrate due to failure of 1951 vintage sealants. I will start with the frame around the left hand door entry. I have now removed the rotten wood and am making replacement parts from NZ Beech a native hardwood with good grain characteristics.
